Sandcastles

On the fondest love I have yet known..

I didn’t fall in love with his body. No, I made love to that, but I didn’t fall in love with it, or with his jokes, or our similarities, or his favorite songs, those were all well and good, but they didn’t do much to enrapture my soul. In truth, I think I fell in love with the way he fell for me; the glow in his eyes when he looked into mine, and the smile he wore in my presence. High off the sensation of being loved; I came to adore the simple beauty of being adored in return.
